Avalanche
A free live quiz game for the classroom
A race up a mountain. Right answers climb, and the snow rises behind the class as the clock runs.
The class board during a game of Avalanche.
How a round plays
- A right answer shows three handholds. The pupil picks one and climbs; a rope climbs furthest.
- A wrong answer is a wobble: nobody slides back for a wrong answer.
- The snow rises with the clock. If it catches a pupil, they slide down two ledges, but never below a camp they have reached.
- The first to the summit wins. The summit's height is set by the length of the game.
On the board: One mountain with a climber on every route, the snow, the camps and the flags.
