Floor Is Lava
A free live quiz game for the classroom
A quick game for the whole class. The answers sit on platforms over the lava, and pupils stand on the one they think is right.

How a round plays
- Everyone gets the same question, with two to four answer platforms. Longer questions, pictures and code get more time.
- Pupils tap a platform to stand on it and can change their mind until the timer runs out. They can see where everyone else is standing.
- Then the wrong platforms crumble. Anyone on one, or still on the start pad, falls in. Nobody is knocked out: everyone starts the next round on the start pad.
- Staying safe scores 120 points, rising to 200 with a streak. The most points at the end wins.
On the board: The volcano with the question, the platforms and how many pupils stand on each, then who fell in and who stayed safe.
