The scenario
Sizzle Street Food campaign
Sizzle is a street food van serving loaded fries at markets and festivals around one city. The owner wants a social media campaign with daily location posts, short sizzling-food videos, and a loyalty card promotion. Most customers are 16-30 and find the van through social media.
The task
The owner of Sizzle has drawn a storyboard for a 30-second video that shows loaded fries being cooked and sold at a festival. The camera operator will film from it, but the draft is incomplete and some choices cannot be filmed in the van.
Improve the effectiveness of the storyboard for use by the camera operator. The pictures are already in the draft. The video must feel loud, bright and mouth-watering and last about 30 seconds. Marks will be awarded for: relevant components and conventions used; layout; annotations that explain how the improvements help the camera operator in their role.
[9 marks]
What it is marked on
- Storyboard techniques used consistently on every panel: scene numbers, shot types, camera angles and movement, timings, lighting, locations, sound and transitions
- Panels that cover everything the brief asks for, in a clear sequence, adding up to the running time
- Notes that explain how your choices help the camera operator
The marks fall in OCR's three levels. How R093 is marked explains them.

Questions
Is this the real exam?
No. It is a practice question in the style of OCR's R093 paper: a client scenario, a document for a named user, and an extended answer marked by three levels. SubjectHub wrote it from the specification and the published mark schemes; the real papers are set by OCR.
How is it marked?
Straight away and for free, code checks it: which storyboard techniques you used consistently on every panel the camera operator needs (scene numbers, shot types, angles, movement, timings, lighting, locations, sound and transitions), the running time against the brief, and an estimated level from that count. With a free account you also get the full mark: your notes are read, the brief and the draft's problems are checked, and code places the level by the same rule, so you get a mark, the level, feedback and one next step.
Do I need an account?
No, not to try it: answer it here and get the free check. For the full mark and examiner-style feedback, create a free account. Sign-up opens in a new tab, so your answer stays on this page, and it is kept in this browser if you come back later. Signed-in users get 10 full marks a day.
