Improve the game launch mind map

A muddled plan for launching a relaxing mobile game. Improve it for the marketing assistant.

The task

Tidepool Studio is launching 'Pocket Reef', a relaxing mobile game for adults aged 18-35, in eight weeks. A designer has started a digital mind map of ideas for the launch. The marketing assistant will use it to organise the launch activities, but the draft is muddled: ideas sit under the wrong branches, one branch is empty, one has nothing to do with the launch, and some labels are not connected.

Improve the effectiveness of the mind map for use by the marketing assistant. You will get credit for: using the components and conventions of a mind map (central node, branches, sub-nodes and the links between them); grouping related ideas logically; and notes on your changes that explain how each one helps the marketing assistant in their role.

Questions

Is this the real exam?

No. It is a practice question in the style of OCR's R093 paper: a client scenario, a document for a named user, and an extended answer marked by three levels. SubjectHub wrote it from the specification and the published mark schemes; the real papers are set by OCR.

How is it marked?

Straight away and for free, code counts the structure: a named central node, the main branches against what the task asks for, branches developed with sub-ideas, and your notes. With a free account you also get the full mark: each idea and note is judged against the brief and OCR's three levels, and you get a mark, the level, feedback and one next step.

Do I need an account?

No, not to try it: answer it here and get the free check. For the full mark and examiner-style feedback, create a free account. Sign-up opens in a new tab, so your answer stays on this page, and it is kept in this browser if you come back later. Signed-in users get 10 full marks a day.
